密西沙加市“家和美”长者联谊会成立于2018年末，是在加拿大安大略省注册、由政府批准的非盈利机构，服务宗旨是为在加拿大密西沙加市及周边的华裔长者排解孤独、寂寞，组织会员一起参加活动的社团组织。

对于旅居加拿大的长者来说，充实生活带来心灵上的快乐是最为重要，很多长者来到这里帮助在加拿大工作的子女做家务、照顾孙辈，在陌生国度里面临文化不同、语言又不通等难题，长者们感觉到了诸多的不便和苦闷，“家和美”长者联谊会成立的目的就是：丰富会员精神文化生活，鼓励长者走出家门，结识新朋友，大家在一起共创健康、快乐、和美的高质量生活品质。让会员朋友找到晚年生活的兴趣点和乐趣，在异国他乡发现一片新天地。

加拿大密市“家和美”长者联谊会参与安全讲座
近日，密西沙加市“家和美”长者联谊会参加安全讲座，邀请华裔王姓警官为会员讲解在加拿大居家防火、防盗知识。
王警官从预防讲起，首先要增强防范意识，特别讲到了防范的要点：再以案例说明如果遇到火情、盗窃，应该采取的措施；还讲解了怎样报警、怎样协助警察等等。
到场的会员朋友感到受益匪浅。

An annual general meeting was hold on January 04,2024 in Erindale Community Hall in Mississauga.

Meeting Agenda:

  1. Welcome speech and a start of the AGM by host.
  2. Presentation of annual operation report by president.
  3. Presentation of annual financial report by treasurer .
  4. Review on both reports.
  5. Discussion and suggestions.
  6. Adjournment by President.

The AGM meeting was the hosted by secretary Mr. Long. The president Mr.
Qiquan Zhang made official welcoming speech and start of the AGM . Mr.
Zhang present annual work report on management, results and achievements of
the project founded by government and all activities carried out during the
year 2023 including zoom meeting lectures on Health Eating , English language
and recreational activities Folk Dance,Balloons Dance,Table Tennis,Thai
Chi,Singing etc. The treasurer Mrs.Haimeng Luk presented a financial report
for the year ended at January 04,2024, and all attendees discussed and
reviewed the report and a number of questions and suggestions were put to the
improve the management and effectiveness of the program activities for the
year 2024. All attendees (36)approved these reports at the meeting and
expressed appreciation to the board of directors and all volunteers for their
contribution and a service made in 2023.

家和美乐队于2023年10月26日，参加了2023年密市加华音乐会，《将音乐融入长者的生活》，当天，充满饱满兴奋心情的全体演员，怀着认真的专业态度，呈现了一场令人难以忘怀的演出。
为了这次音乐会，乐队经历了几个月的紧锣密鼓的努力，在谢老师的悉心指导和Jack 队长的带领下，乐队在舞台上展现出了令人瞩目的实力。管弦乐合奏《上海滩》如一道时光隧道，让长者们回忆起年代的经典色彩，勾勒出一幅幅美好深刻的记忆。我们的演出赢得了观众长时间的热烈洋溢的掌声，也将成为我们心中永不褪色的记忆。

On October 26, 2023, the Home and Beauty Band participated in the 2023 Mississauga Concert, “Integrating Music into the Lives of the Elderly," and on that day, the entire cast was full of excitement and with a serious professional attitude, presented an unforgettable performance.
For this concert, the band has experienced several months of intense efforts, under the guidance of teacher Xie and the leadership of captain Jack, the band showed remarkable strength on the stage. The orchestral ensemble “Shanghai Bund" is like a time tunnel, allowing the elders to recall the classic colors of the era and outline a beautiful and profound memory. Our performance won the audience’s warm applause for a long time, and it will become a memory that will never fade in our hearts.

家和美协会再次发出通告，12月份活动通知如下：除了继续开展正常的每周活动外将安排以下活动。
1：12月22号乐队，舞蹈队参加由Elsa主办的party＜庆圣诞活动。
2:12月23号将安排参加Erin mills守望相助助选活动。乐队奏国歌等，舞蹈队表演太阳姑娘。
1月4号召开年终欢庆会以及各类美食文化活动。

家和美同乐联谊会 第二届乒乓球友谊赛于 2023.10.20 上午热闹开赛，数十位会员球友参与了女单、男单、男双、混双的比赛，第一天产生了各项决赛选手，决赛于10月23日（周一）下午1:00～2:00进行。选手们本着“友谊第一、比赛第二”的精神，交流球技，增进感情，活跃了老年生活。

家和美同乐第二届乒乓球友谊赛在会员和球友们的积极参与和支持下，经过两个活动日的友好比赛，于今天（十月二十四日）圆满落幕！四个单项（女单、混双、男双、男单）的奖励各归其主，达到了“团结、友谊、提高”的办赛目的。Jack会长、建敏会长为获奖选手颁发奖金并致辞，鼓励会员球友们积极参加乒乓球活动，增强体质，快乐生活，“做一粒为国球传播发杨的种子”。

本届：混合双打第二名（范圣波、郑则鸣），第一名（邓崇卿、徐明华）；男子双打第二名（郑则鸣、高旭晖），第一名（陈建敏、徐明华）；女子单打第三名（安琪、聂娟娟），第二名（范圣波），第一名（徐爱明）；男子单打第三名（江华、刘健光），第二名（高旭晖），第一名（徐明华）。

With the active participation and support of members and friends in the second Table Tennis Friendship Competition, the second Table Tennis Friendship Competition came to a successful conclusion today (October 24) after two friendly competitions. The four individual items (women’s singles, mixed doubles, men’s doubles, men’s singles) were awarded to their own masters, which achieved the goal of “unity, friendship and improvement." President Jack and President Jianmin presented prizes to the winners and made speeches, encouraging members to actively participate in table tennis activities, enhance their physique and have a happy life, “to be a seed for the national ball."
