On August 27, 2025, the Jiahemay Senior Association held a successful cultural performance at Silverthorn Care Community. The performers ranged in age from teenagers to seniors over 80, showcasing intergenerational participation and cultural heritage.

The audience at the care home was fully engaged, nodding, applauding, smiling, and even interacting with the performers. This marked the association’s third visit to the facility, and they have been invited again to bring more joy and care during the Lunar New Year.

The smooth execution of the performance was made possible by the hard work behind the scenes. The president personally assisted members with transportation and prepared the sound system; the vice president coordinated overall arrangements and ensured food and refreshments; team leaders guided rehearsals and assisted with costumes; the photographer captured precious moments; the host professionally led the event; and volunteers quietly supported transportation, logistics, and the venue. Everyone played their part, ensuring a successful performance.

This event not only brought warmth and joy to the residents but also demonstrated the Chinese community’s active engagement in society and promotion of multicultural exchange, highlighting the unique value of seniors and youth participating together in community activities.

2025年8月27日，家和美长者联谊会在 Silverthorn Care Community 举办了一场成功的文艺演出。此次演出队伍涵盖了不同年龄层，从十几岁的青少年到年逾八十的长者同台亮相，充分体现了代际融合与文化传承。

老人院的观众们全程投入，频频点头、鼓掌、微笑，甚至与演员们一同互动，现场气氛热烈。这已是协会第三次受邀到该院演出，并再次收到邀请在春节回访，为院友们带来更多欢乐与关怀。

演出的顺利进行，离不开团队背后的辛勤付出。会长亲自接送交通不便的会员，并提前准备音响设备；副会长统筹整体安排，负责饮食保障；组长们带领大家反复排练、协助修改演出服装；摄影师用镜头留下珍贵瞬间，主持人以专业串联引领全场；义工们在交通、后勤、场地等各方面默默支持。大家各司其职，齐心协力，才确保了演出的圆满成功。

这场演出不仅为养老院居民送去温暖和欢乐，更展示了华人社区积极参与社会、推动多元文化交流的实际行动，也凸显了长者与青少年共同参与社区活动的独特价值。
